Suspension & Bearing Steels by Gonmo: 60Si2Mn + GCr15
Gonmo’s cold-rolled program spotlights 60Si2Mn and GCr15—two specialist grades that keep automotive suspension coils resilient and wheel bearings running smooth. Produced on LY Steel’s clean-steel route and stocked globally in 1.5–6.0 mm strip, these materials deliver predictable heat-treat response, tight dimensional control, and long service life.
Grade Lineup (Applications at a Glance)
60Si2Mn — Hi-Si Mn Spring Power
- ~0.6% C with high Si + Mn for strong solid-solution strengthening and deep hardenability.
- Heat-treated coils reach ≈1800 MPa tensile with superb elastic recovery and fatigue life.
- Ideal for suspension coil springs, leaf springs, stabilizer bars, strut & damper springs, absorbing bumps without sagging over long cycles.
GCr15 — Bearing-Grade Wear Armor
- ~1.0% C, ~1.5% Cr forming uniform fine-carbide martensite; oil-quench hardness ≈60–66 HRC.
- Exceptional wear and rolling-contact fatigue resistance under lubricated load.
- Used in wheel-hub bearings, strut-mount roller bearings, pillow-block bearings, CV-joint races—where tight dimensional stability and long grease life are critical.
Production & Supply
- Cold-rolled precision: uniform structure and surface finish for consistent grinding, coiling and machining.
- Coil-to-coil consistency: ±15 MPa hardness window supports reliable press and heat-treat windows.
- Ready to run: cut-to-size service, regional stocks, and tailored logistics for JIT programs.
